Episode 1: The Shin Family (Desktop Wallpapers Included!)

Yuri Shin figured, "Matena Gloro, Strangetown - what's the difference? Other than the terrain, the isolation, the ethnic makeup, the lack of high speed mass transportation and a bustling environment with plenty to do, every neighborhood is basically the same. Especially the dirt cheap ones."

Oh waitaminute, what do we have here?
Ma'am, I know you're a stereotypical Asian parent and although I more than appreciate your enthusiasm to fill that role as best as possible, there are about dozens of other families in town with multiple poorly planned children and half those families also want their children to be overachievers, with almost every one of them wanting their child in private school, thereby defeating the small classroom per teacher and low competition per future worker model that has ensured the quality of elite education and life for so long.

In short: Hell no. I have a better idea.

I may be a cruel god at times, but I rule fairly, realistically* and wisely. That was my main's future right there!
The surviving Shin girls, determined to survive the odds, are already busy networking and discussing how to earn money from their careers, talents and their public school awards. Thank god Jang Suk Shin, their biological father, had an §80,000 Life Insurance Policy on him and accidentally fell into a plastics vat on the job long ago, due to a safety railing that the law said should have been fixed. God bless Matena Gloro's non-existent labor laws and their underfunded Department of Workplace Safety!

*The beautiful children became the scholars, merchants and royals? The polite and intelligent children were knights? Pffffffffffffwahhahahahahahahahah! Oh my God, I apologize for this asterisk, I know that the elites of those days tended to have skins as thin as tissue paper, but come on! That's an even bigger stretch than, "The pope is a pro-choice feminist atheist" or "ijustneedsomeeyes has a fabulous job that allows her to be self-sufficient and self-actualized!"
